ABOUT BITTER BUFFALO ART

Bitter Buffalo Art is a Colorado creative studio bringing together fine-art nature photography, handcrafted laser-cut wood art, custom commissions, and one-of-a-kind ice-dyed apparel. Inspired by the landscapes, wildlife, colors, and night skies of the Rocky Mountains, each piece is designed to carry a connection to nature, craftsmanship, and quiet meaning.

WHAT WE CREATE

Our work crosses several connected forms: original Colorado photography, layered laser-cut artwork, illuminated lamps and shadowboxes, custom commissions, and individually hand-dyed apparel. Each collection begins with a visual idea and develops through material, color, light, and careful construction.

MADE IN COLORADO

Bitter Buffalo Art is based in Breckenridge, Colorado. The surrounding mountains, rivers, forests, wildlife, weather, and night skies are part of the studio’s working vocabulary. Colorado is not simply printed onto the work—it shapes how the work is imagined and built.

MATERIALS AND PROCESS

Natural wood, carefully selected acrylic, light, photography, fiber-reactive dye, and layered construction are used to create pieces with depth and character. Materials are chosen to support the design rather than force every idea into the same format.

BUILT TO LIVE WITH AND LOVE

The goal is to make artwork that carries meaning beyond the first look—work that feels personal, holds up through real use, and becomes part of the space or person it was created for.

Natural materials. Quiet meaning. Built to live with and love.

MEET THE ARTIST

Bitter Buffalo Art was founded by Colorado artist and photographer Clyde Jones II, whose work brings together photography, laser fabrication, layered design, lighting, and hand-dyed fiber art.
